At Lac de Missy, we’re continually improving our venue to make every stay more comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable. From new guest facilities to lake enhancements and access upgrades, here’s an overview of what’s been completed — and what’s in progress — to enhance your fishing holiday.
Completed Works
New Anglers’ Dining Area
After a day on the lakes, relax and unwind in our brand-new Anglers’ Dining Area, designed to offer a warm, comfortable space where guests can eat, socialise, and share the day’s catch stories.
The dining area is set indoors with tables and chairs seating up to 18 guests, making it ideal for group meals, evening gatherings, or simply enjoying a quiet breakfast before heading back to the water.
Facilities include two large televisions for entertainment, free Wi-Fi (currently available in the dining area, with lake coverage planned for next year), and full heating and air conditioning, ensuring the space is comfortable in both summer and winter.
A dedicated tea and coffee station with kettle and toaster is available, along with a beer fridge for guests staying on our food packages. Everything has been designed to provide a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere — a true social hub at the heart of the venue.
Whether you’re refuelling after a long session or winding down in the evening, the Anglers’ Dining Area offers all the comforts of home in a peaceful fishing retreat.
New Male Shower & WC Block
We’re pleased to introduce our newly built Male Shower & WC Block, created to improve comfort and convenience for our guests during their stay.
This dedicated male-only facility features two large showers, each with a private dressing area and seating, allowing plenty of space to change and dry off in comfort. In addition, there are three WC cubicles and three wash basins, ensuring minimal waiting time even during busy periods.
The block is supplied by a mains-pressure hot and cold water system, with thermostatic shower valves providing consistent and reliable water temperature. As a completely new build, the facility also benefits from lighting and heating, making it comfortable to use at any time of day or year.
For convenience, the shower and WC block is available 24/7 and is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. Our female facilities are now located in the original shower and WC block, providing clear and separate amenities for all guests.
This new addition is part of our ongoing commitment to improving facilities and ensuring a comfortable fishing holiday experience at Lac de Missy.
Ongoing Improvements
Driveway Levelling & Resurfacing
Work is currently underway to level and resurface the main driveway at Lac de Missy, improving access and arrival comfort for all guests. This project is an important part of our ongoing venue upgrades and is currently approximately 25% complete.
Once finished, the improved driveway will provide easier access for all vehicles, including lower cars, and will significantly reduce mud and standing water during wet weather. The result will be a smoother and cleaner arrival and departure experience, making the start and end of your fishing holiday more convenient.
Works are continuing steadily toward full completion, and we appreciate our guests’ patience while these improvements are carried out. Every stage of this project is designed to enhance comfort and accessibility across the venue.
Oak Lake Guest Parking Area
We are currently developing a dedicated guest parking area for Oak Lake, designed to make arrival, unloading, and access to accommodation as easy as possible. This improvement is part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing convenience for our Oak Lake guests.
The new parking area will provide space for up to six vehicles and will feature a hard-standing surface, ensuring clean and stable parking in all weather conditions. Positioned securely within the venue grounds, it offers peace of mind while keeping vehicles close to the lake and accommodation.
Once completed, this dedicated parking zone will allow for easy access to Oak Lake accommodation and swims, reducing carrying distance and making setup and departure simpler and more comfortable for guests.
This project is currently in progress and forms part of our wider venue upgrade programme aimed at improving every aspect of the Lac de Missy experience.
Bramble Lake Clearance & New Swims (Ready for 2026)
Development work is underway at Bramble Lake as we prepare this exciting new water for the 2026 season. These improvements are focused on creating safer access, better fishing positions, and greater comfort for visiting anglers.
The current works involve clearing selected areas around the lake to provide safer pathways and access routes, as well as creating space for four new dedicated swims, laid out in accordance with the Bramble Lake map. Each swim will feature a gravelled platform, designed to keep fishing areas clean, stable, and usable in all weather conditions.
A new parking area for up to four vehicles will also be created close to the swims, allowing easy unloading and convenient access to fishing spots.
These works will continue throughout the 2026 season, ensuring Bramble Lake develops into a well-prepared, comfortable, and highly enjoyable fishing environment. This project forms part of our long-term vision to expand and enhance the Lac de Missy venue for all guests.
